Schedule types

Five schedule types cover everything from a single reminder to a yearly one:

  • Once — fires once, on a specific date and time you pick. Good for appointments, deadlines, or anything that only happens once. Example: Sep 14 at 2:00 PM.
  • Daily — fires every day at the time you set. Example: every day at 8:00 AM.
  • Weekly — fires on whichever days of the week you pick, at one time. Example: every Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
  • Monthly — fires either on a specific date each month (the 1st at 9:00 AM) or a specific weekday-of-month (the first Monday at 9:00 AM).
  • Annual — fires once a year on a specific month and day. Example: January 1 at 9:00 AM for a New Year's reminder.

A message's schedule only matters while it's Active — a Paused message keeps its schedule saved but won't fire until you turn it back on. Both List view and Calendar view show a message's status at a glance (solid = active, outlined = inactive).

Curious exactly how many throwing sticks each schedule type adds up to over a month? See What counts as a throwing stick?
